Dr. Esa and The Avenue surgery are currently separate practices. They are located together in Leigh Health Centre and work as one team. We are looking to merge the practices so they become one bigger practice. Most of the change will be behind the scenes and we believe it will help us run services more efficiently and effectively.
Through March 2020 we are engaging with patients to gather feedback on the proposed merger. We want to know what patients think and if they have any concerns or questions.
Who should get involved?
Any patients registered with Dr. Esa or The Avenue Surgery should get involved. Staff can also respond to this to let us know what they think.
How to get involved?
There are a couple of ways you can get involved:
You can pick a survey up from reception, or
Complete the survey online by clicking here:
You can also ask to speak to a member of the practice management team at any time.
Once we complete the engagement work we will review all the feedback and produce a report.
An application to merge the practices would then be sent to NHS Wigan Borough CCGs Primary Care Committee. This is the group that makes decisions on local GP services.
Patients will be kept up to date.
